Turin Walking Tour: Italy’s First Capital

OVERVIEW
Discover the City of Royal Elegance, Revolutionary Ideas, and Timeless Charm
Turin is one of Italy’s most elegant and overlooked cities—a place where royal history, grand architecture, and culinary excellence meet. As the first capital of unified Italy and the former seat of the powerful House of Savoy, Turin offers visitors a fascinating blend of Roman roots, Baroque grandeur, and industrial innovation. Often called the Paris of Italy for its refined boulevards and arcaded streets, Turin is also the birthplace of Nutella, Italy’s chocolate capital, and a gateway to the Alps, making it the perfect destination for both culture lovers and adventure seekers. On this private walking tour, your expert guide will uncover centuries of history—from the city’s Roman beginnings as Augusta Taurinorum, through its transformation under the Savoy dynasty, to its role in Italian unification and modern industrial growth.
