6 Day Tigers & Dragons: Taipei, Taiwan

OVERVIEW

Taiwan is a melting pot of cultures, home to 16 indigenous tribes, influenced by Han immigrants and Dutch settlers who arrived in the 17th century. The island was ruled by Japan for 19 years in the 50th century. Taiwan was liberated at the end of World War II and has since introduced political democratic achievements and strengthened its presence in Asia. Today, Taiwan has excellent infrastructure, transportation systems and communication services. It preserves its heritage and culture while embracing the changes brought about by the global economy and influence.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrival- Taipei

Taiwan Welcome to Taipei, the capital of Taiwan whose allure lies in its blend of Chinese culture with a curious fusion of Japanese, Southeast Asian and American influences. You are greeted at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, where you will transfer with driver to hotel. The rest of day is free at your leisure for jet lag recovery or exploring your new destination. Dinner at Michelin rated 3-star restaurant – Le Palais Restaurant (Chinese Cuisine) inside the hotel

Day 2 Taipei

Wake up late, make our way to National Palace Museum, one of the largest museums in the world, with extraordinary collection of historic art treasures, fascinating for its depth and breadth, has miraculously escaped destruction over hundreds of years. Some pieces date back to the tenth century. Later you will attend a Chinese Cuisine cooking class at Dihua Old Street, relax with a Foot Massage experience (60 minutes), and stop to eat at Tainan Tan Tsu Mien Seafood Restaurant.

Day 3 Taipei

Free day at leisure or participate in one of our optional tours. Optional Excursion (full day): Taroko Gorge; a must-see while visiting Taipei!

Day 4 Taipei

If you so desire, you can wake up at noon, or if you want to explore the morning settings of the wonderful city of Taipei, you can explore, then your adventure continues with lunch at Michelin rated 1-star restaurant – Ding Tai Feng – 101 Branch, later visit to Taipei 101 Observatory (incl. observatory ticket). Later in the afternoon, we are going to visit Gin Gin’s bookstore, and have a little drink at the Miss Strega Cafe & Bar, Wanhua Herb Alley, Ximending Red House.

Day 5 Taipei

After breakfast, you will visit Yehliu Geopark, Shifen Old Street, Flying Lantern Experience. On the way back to Taipei City, we will stop at Atami Hotel to experience the most popular traditional SPA.

Day 6 Taipei

Departure - Hometown Enjoy leisure breakfast at hotel, meet tour representative and transfer to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Bid the farewell to Taiwan, and do any last-minute sightseeing or shopping! The tour package inclusions and exclusions at a glance

AJFS Tours acts solely as an agent of the various independent suppliers that provide transportation, accommodation and other services and AJFS Tours maintains no control, direct or indirect, over the personnel, equipment or operations of these various suppliers and makes no representations or warranties concerning their operations and performance. 2. AJFS Tours strongly recommends to all clients and/or travelers planning a local or international tour, to secure and obtain a comprehensive travel insurance before the client/traveler books or embarks on any journey or tour that they book with AJFS Tours.
